Fred Rogers Memories:
Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh
Celebrates the Legacy of Fred Rogers

“When we treat children’s play as seriously as it deserves, we are helping them feel the joy that’s to be found in the creative spirit.” – Fred Rogers

Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is celebrating Fred Rogers’ 30+ year relationship with the Children’s Museum with Fred Rogers Memories, a series that includes artifacts, special events, an exhibit pop-up, and more.

“Fred Rogers taught us all how to listen to, talk to, and care for our neighbors, and that’s a lesson that is always relevant,” stated Jane Werner, Executive Director of Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. “His words ‘think of the children first’ continue to guide us today.”

Upcoming Fred Rogers Memories Events and Activities Include:

o Visit a pop-up version of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood: A Grr-ific Exhibit in the Museum’s Nursery - sit on the Trolley, share a learning strategy, and try on a red sweater for a photo op.

o See artifacts from the original “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” show, including original puppets, Fred's iconic sneakers, photos, and videos. And plunk out a familiar Mister Rogers song on our new piano! On display in MuseumLab.

o 20th Annual Mister Rogers Neighborhood Sweater Drive
